LET's DO The RUMP

Have you heard of The Black Keys?? If you haven't, don't worry, it seems this Blues/Rock outfit have been around for bloody years, and only just broken into the 'good band bracket'. 'Brothers' is their sixth album (yeh, sixth), and it really is awesome. Fave songs, so far, have to be Next Girl and Never Gonna Give You Up. I think the dichotomy between the two really underlines their mix of rock'n'roll and bluesy yumminess.

Here's what's crazy. The Black Keys are just two guys from Ohio; one on drums, and one on guitar and vocals, and they manage to really fill out the sound. It's grainy, powerfully simplistic, but beautifully melodic at the same time. ****

Nursing the bruised heart and delivering the lyrics is bearded brother Dan Auerbach, who incidentally, has plenty of solo tracks for you to be getting on with too. But, for now........
