Grow Your Own

The veggie patch is complete. It took longer than I thought and I couldn't have done it without the help of The DIY Mastermind (my papa) and The Man Mountain (my baby bro). The easiest way to grow your own veggies is to build a raised bed. This means you can fill it up with yummy compost to give your baby lettuces the best start out. To build my raised bed, I pulled apart an old picnic table to save on costs. This was enough recycled wood for 4 planks and 4 stakes. That is all you need.
I have planted mixed lettuce leaves to start with. Ahh, I hope they grow. I'm watering them every day. Eek!
