FUDGE WEDNESDAY

I've been thinking about fun things to make at Christmas. My mama has put me in charge of desserts (with strict instructions but artistic license haha). This was kind of a practice but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. It's not proper fudge; even Nigella admits that. BUT, it tastes as good and takes no time to make. This is the recipe I used but I made a few modifications.

You will need:
350g of chocolate (I used 200g of plain, 150g of milk)
30g of butter
397g of condensed milk
150g of pistachios

Mix the first four ingredients on a low heat, stirring until everything is melted together. Put the nuts in a sandwich bag and crush with a rolling pin. Add the nuts to the chocolatey sauce. Fill a foil baking tray, making sure the mixture is evenly spread. Leave to cool and refrigerate until it's hard or as long as you can wait. Then peel back the foil baking tray, it might stick (mine did) but it will come out eventually. Slice it up, smaller chunks are better as it's pretty rich. I'm thinking I might wrap mine up and give out fudge goody bags to my friends at Christmas. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
